Almost a month ago, we finally granted a wish of Abigail's by taking her to get her ears pierced. Really, we've been planning to do this since early in the year but just never got around to it.
She was a bit scared, but that's probably my fault. I made sure to warn her that it was going to hurt. (She decided that it was going to feel like getting a shot.) I also made sure to guarantee her that if the first hole hurt so bad that she didn't want to get the other one, she still had to get it. Ha! I'm a mean mom and don't want my child going around with one ear pierced.

Congrats to Abigail! Do you think she would have let them done the second willingly had there not been two there?
Keanna's asking to get hers done, but it's not really popular here. I can buy the gun at a store in town but don't trust myself to do it well enough!
I don't doubt she would have gone ahead with the second piercing if they had only done 1 at a time. She didn't seem to be in much pain. She was more shocked than anything. She just kept saying it was different than what she wanted.
You're braver than I if you do it yourself. I didn't even want to go to Claire's or somewhere in the mall. I called around to the tattoo and piercing studios trying to get a professional piercer to do it for us, but they wouldn't take anyone under age 14. I just didn't want them to be uneven or in the wrong spot. We went to a piercing studio, the Piercing Pagoda, and they did a great job.
Are there tattoo or piercing places that cater to the guys from the base there? Maybe you could try finding a body piercing place.
I thought for sure she had had hers done for a long time.
So cute. Looks exactly like our pictures. My girls didn't cry, but you should have seen their eyes pop when they did the piercing! So funny.
Thankfully no problems with them either! Both still love them.
Nana bought them each a new pair of pretty ones for when they are able to change.
Woo hoo Abigail!
