Also, I had some problems understanding the aboriginies' thick accents at many times, especially during the opening sequence. But, I got past that and thoroughly enjoyed the aboriginal boy who, in my opinion, was the lead character. If it hadn't been for him, there wouldn't have been a movie.
Despite the length, it was a good film. I wasn't expecting much from it since it flopped at the theater, but it was a good movie. And, it doesn't hurt that Hugh Jackman takes his shirt off a few times. I didn't like it as much as I loved Baz Luhrmann's earlier film, Moulin Rouge, but he still made a very pretty movie -- again.
